The installations are up! There’s one in the Joann Cole Mitte Art Building, pictured above, and there’s also one at the Gallery of Common Experience across campus at the Honors College. I’m so pleased at how everything turned out and am hoping that this will impact students at Texas State in a positive way.
At the opening of the installation at the art building, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the installation really made some of the students happy and they were able to sit down, relax, and color for a while. There was even one student who came back the next day to color and that really made me feel like my time spent on this project was really worthwhile!
I think that mental health should be addressed and talked about and this is a great way to do it, so I’m glad that I was able to see this project from start to finish and even see some of the results from the project. So, go check out my installations if you can and tell me what you think!
